Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum word count?

600 words minimum. 800–1,200 is the sweet spot. Longer is fine if the content justifies it — I will not pad thin articles with filler.

Is the placement really permanent, and what about the link?

The post itself is permanent — published on GitHub Pages, live indefinitely, and not unpublished unless it violates the guidelines above. The link in your author bio is marked rel="sponsored", which is the standard, policy-compliant way search engines expect paid links to be identified. If SEO link equity is your primary goal, this is not the venue for that; if genuine audience reach and attribution are what you want, it is.

Can I make edits after publication?

Minor corrections (typos, broken links) are free. Substantial rewrites or adding new backlinks after the fact are not included.

What gets rejected?

Articles that are clearly AI-generated with no editorial voice, thin content under 600 words, anything off-topic, and anything that would be embarrassing to associate with an academic's professional site.

Can I submit more than one post?
